Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is to open up five new restaurants in Alberta after the announcement of a second development in Canada.
The leading fast-casual restaurant concept is based in Wichita, Kansas, but made the move into Canada last November with a first Master Franchise and Development Agreement.
That agreement saw veteran franchisees Jim Wershler and Gregg Most open up North 49 Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, which are as popular as those from CookOut.
Freddy’s has now signed its second development agreement in Canada with Dan Arndt of ZZA Hospitality to open five new restaurants in Alberta.
ZZA Hospitality currently operates several quick-service restaurant franchises and will be developing five new Freddy’s locations over the next five years.
“Bringing Freddy’s to Canada means serving delicious food and creating a memorable experience for families, friends, and lovers of great taste,” said Dan Arndt, franchise owner of ZZA Hospitality.
“Our first franchise restaurants will be a testament to our commitment to sharing the joy of Freddy’s with the vibrant communities here.
“Freddy’s dedication to serving high-quality, cooked-to-order menu items and providing genuine hospitality will resonate with Canadian guests.”
Gregg Most, franchise owner of North 49 Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, added: “Bringing an iconic brand like Freddy’s into Canadian territories has been an exhilarating journey, and we feel thrilled to be closer to debuting our first franchise location in Alberta.
“It’s a pleasure to work with ZZA Hospitality as we realize our goal of expanding Freddy’s Canadian footprint.”
More franchise opportunities are being made available in Canada with opportunities to pitch to open up Freddy’s restaurants available.
They are experiencing a similar growth in Canada to that of Chick-fil-A, who now have seven stores in the country.
