Winners of the Manufacturing Leaders Awards 2017 were announced in an exclusive ceremony in Boston, Massachusetts. The event celebrated outstanding achievements in the manufacturing industry across six categories, with finalists from leading global organizations including IBM, BASF, Walmart, and AkzoNobel.Nexeo Solutions won the ‘Runner Up’ title for Sustainable Manufacturing, with its carbon footprint reduction project. The Company evaluated trucking and operational activities to calculate its carbon footprint and track sustainability savings delivered to customers over the course of 4 years. Between 2012 and 2015, Nexeo Solutions implemented several operational improvements that continued to reduce carbon footprint in a variety of areas, even as fuel prices rose during the period.
