The U.S. Postal Service is slated to increase shipping rates in on January 21, but thanks to a Los Angeles, California-based company, shoppers are now able to take advantage of free two business day express shipping in the United States.
“We’re ringing in the new year with a great gift to customers by alleviating the shipping cost despite the fact that many carriers are planning to increase their cost for shipping this year,” said Jack Sun, owner and spokesman for Bellorita, LLC.
One of the most notable shipping increases is coming from the U.S. Postal Service. The USPS 2018 shipping rate changes take effect January 21 across all shipping services. Overall, rates increased for most products, weights, and zones.
One of the biggest rate changes people look for are to USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes and envelopes. This shipping service is a go-to for many online sellers for its simplicity, free packaging, and competitive rate no matter how heavy or far the package is traveling. Padded flat rate envelopes, arguably the best value of all flat rate services, will see a 60-cent increase (nearly 10 percent), making it 5 cents more expensive than using a Small Flat Rate Box.
Sun stressed that Bellorita is taking the opposite approach by providing customers with a break on shipping costs.
