Promise Number 1 at Advantage is to never disappoint a customer. We strive to deliver superior service, choice and value to every customer. To be ranked this high on the Temkin Index is both an honor and validation that our efforts to serve our customers is succeeding.

ORLANDO, FL

For the second consecutive year, Advantage Rent A Car has placed at the top of a nationwide survey measuring consumer loyalty to a variety of retailers.

Advantage joins ACE Rent A Car, Mercedes-Benz and Fox Rent A Car as leaders in the third annual Temkin Loyalty Index (TLi). The survey sampled the opinions of 10,000 U.S. consumers toward 329 companies in 20 industries.

Advantage received a TLi ranking of 78, just behind ACE with 79 and ahead of Mercedes and Fox, each of which received a 75. The auto-related companies outpaced all other industries, including banks, TV and internet providers, insurance carriers, grocery store chains and fast food outlets.

“We are thrilled that consumers are showing such faith in us,” Advantage CEO and President Scott Davido said. “Promise Number 1 at Advantage is to never disappoint a customer. We strive to deliver superior service, choice and value to every customer. To be ranked this high on the Temkin Index is both an honor and validation that our efforts to serve our customers is succeeding.”

Temkin Group, a leading customer experience research, consulting, and training firm, asked survey participants how likely they would be to exhibit five loyalty-related behaviors toward various companies: repurchasing from the company, recommending the company to others, forgiving the company if it made a mistake, trusting the company and trying the company’s new offerings.

Among the findings:

  • Customers said they would be most likely to forgive Advantage, as well as ACE, Fujitsu and Navy Federal Credit Union, and least likely to forgive Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Cox Communications.
  • Customers are most likely to try a new offering from Advantage or ACE.

“We are gratified by the high regard our customers have for us,” Davido said. “We look at the TLi ranking as a benchmark, one that we will strive to keep and improve on in the future.”
