Ability Center Acquires Accessible Mobility Center of Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa, CA, December 30, 2017 — Ability Center announced today the acquisition of Accessible Mobility Center of Santa Rosa, CA. Ability Center is a mobility equipment dealer that sells, installs and services mobility equipment including scooters/wheelchairs, wheelchair accessible vans, driving aids, turning seats and wheelchair lifts. The purchase expands the Ability Center footprint in California from seven to eight locations.

“Our 14th location allows us at Ability Center to help more people in the disabled community with an expanded footprint in California,” said Darrell Heath, Ability Center’s CEO. “The North Bay has been on our radar for a couple of years as it helps fill the gap between our Sacramento store and our Central Coast and Central Valley locations. The Accessible Mobility Center of Santa Rosa store is a welcomed addition to Ability Center Family,” said Heath.

As a certified QAP (Quality Assurance Program) and NMEDA (National Mobility Equipment Dealer Association) member, Ability Center is able to transform the lives of those living with disabilities and grant each of their clients added independence and the ability to get behind the wheel of their own wheelchair accessible vehicle. QAP or Quality Assurance Program is the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the adaptive mobility equipment, wheelchair accessible vehicle, and wheelchair lift industry. It is based on the guiding principle that quality is the ultimate key to operating a successful business.

Accessible Mobility Center of Santa Rosa, formerly Adaptability, has been in the North Bay of California for over 30 years. The tenured staff will remain on with Ability Center and continue their impact in the Santa Rosa community helping people find safe and reliable transportation solutions. This 14th Ability Center location will share inventory of their wheelchair accessible vans with the other 13 locations which allows local consumers access to over 200 vehicles in four states.

Ability Center of Santa Rosa showroom hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm and Saturday by appointment only.
