36 Restaurants Added to the Distinguished Restaurants of North America Award List in 2017

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y., December 29, 2017 - ​The Distinguished Restaurants of North America (DiRōNA) Award, one of the most prestigious awards for fine dining, is proud to announce this year’s addition of 36 restaurants to its renowned list.

“We are very excited with this year’s additions from across the continent who have received the DiRōNA Award. Each restaurant surpasses our criteria for providing an exceptional dining experience,” noted Scott Breard, DiRōNA Executive Director. “Nominations are received throughout the year and judged for all aspects of culinary, beverage, service, and ambiance. These restaurants join a list that now includes 692 of North America’s finest restaurants who have been recognized with our award over the past 27 years.”

Founded in 1990, DiRōNA was established to promote the fine dining industry and offer recognition to awarded restaurants from across North America. A restaurant displaying the DiRōNA Achievement of Distinction in Dining has earned one of the most respected awards in the dining and hospitality communities. Carrie Brunner grew up in a small town in northern New Brunswick. She studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married her husband one month later.
