A Hollywood Nod to Schuon

Press Release updated: Oct 31, 2017 18:49 EDT

Noted humanitarian power couple and successful business partners of Schuon Kitchens and Baths, Inc. (www.skbi.com), Hans K. and Martha Monroe Schuon, hosted the exclusive H3: Healthy Happy Hour at their new design studio this past week. “The H3 bespoke event creatively infused kitchen and bath interior designs with a film about our family history and an art show made up of local artists to spotlight worthy charities in our community,” stated Martha Monroe Schuon.

H3 offered guests a special film screening of “The Schuon Family History,” documenting an inside look at one of the oldest and most well-renowned cabinet makers in the industry to date. “I believe H3 was an opportunity to educate the press, media, guests and our future customers, raising better awareness for what really matters,” said Hans K. Schuon.

Sonflower Ministries, a women’s restoration organization founded by Pastor J. Rea and Mary Lucy Holliday, and Hands of Love, an orphanage ministry in Uganda for children fighting AIDS directed by Nora Charlesworth, took center stage with H3’s official media partner Sherry Mongesku of N2 Publishing’s “One the River” magazine for the charity raffle of over $5.5K in prizes. With a sincere thank you from Schuon Kitchens and Baths, the raffle sponsors included: Aesthetic Specialty Centre, Audio Video Excellence, Gorman Chiropractic, Progressive Medical and a special gift of services from Paul Garcia of The Brand Kings (www.brandkings.com), Hollywood’s celebrity brand manager of actress Lynn Whitfield from Oprah’s hit TV show “Greenleaf.”

In addition to the Schuons’ community awareness efforts, guests indulged in tasty appetizers from Amalfi Ristorante and admired the whimsical art show curated by Denise Jackson of Emerging Art Scene. The show featured the artwork of Laura Bowman and Scarlett Meredith, recently commissioned by Grammy Award-winning musical artist Zac Brown.

Schuon Kitchens and Baths is excited to announce all proceeds from the H3 charity raffle were issued by donation solely to Sonflower Ministries (www.sonflower.com) and Hands of Love (www.handsofloveusa.org).

About the Author: Carrie Brunner

Carrie Brunner grew up in a small town in northern New Brunswick. She studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married her husband one month later. They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children. Carrie writes mostly on provincial stories.
