U.S. Army Awards netTerrain Certificate of Networthiness (CoN)

GAITHERSBURG, MD – 01-17-2018 (Press Release Jet) — The U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) has accredited the netTerrain IT visualization software suite from Graphical Networks with a Certificate of Networthiness (CoN). The CoN certification affirms that netTerrain meets or exceeds the criteria set forth by the Army and Department of Defense (DoD) standards for security, compatibility, and sustainability. With this accreditation, Army IT professionals can now easily deploy netTerrain to gain a better understanding of IT assets using the suite’s automated network documentation, data center infrastructure management, and outside plant management capabilities.

netTerrain offers IT teams a powerful solution for tackling network and data center management by making IT assets (and associated costs) easy to manage, troubleshoot, and understand. “Without a way to see what’s being used, how, and where, IT teams today are wasting valuable money and time scrambling to keep up,” Fred Koh, Graphical Networks President, comments. “netTerrain removes key roadblocks in infrastructure management and replaces them with a cost-effective interface for understanding the network, gaining real-time insights, and generating actionable reports.”

Usability and flexibility make netTerrain easy-to-use and easy-to-deploy in a variety of environments. The software suite does not require third-party plugins or thick clients to deploy; in addition to the suite’s robust device catalog, users can model their own assets in minutes.  The CoN accreditation applies to netTerrain’s entire suite of IT visualization products: DCIM software, network documentation software, and outside plant management software.

With netTerrain, users can:

  • Automate and simplify the visualization of IT assets, inventory, and cabling with netTerrain DCIM.
  • Draw and document assets — from network maps to enterprise architecture and workflows — with netTerrain Logical (an automated drawing tool).
  • Visualize the connectivity of fiber, copper, transmission, and wireless networks with netTerrain OSP.

Carrie Brunner grew up in a small town in northern New Brunswick. She studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married her husband one month later. They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children.
