A focus on integrity is paying off for Australia’s fastest growing Quick Service Restaurant Soul Origin who have just been named Australia’s Emerging Franchise of the Year after a stellar year with customer numbers up a massive 164% for FY17 and sales increasing 57.4%, 11% above forecasts.

“ROI is important to most organisations and it’s very important to us at Soul Origin. But for Soul Origin ROI stands for Return on Integrity,” says Soul Origin CEO Chris Mavris.

“Every decision we make at Soul Origin must have integrity and this is central to our success. Soul Origin’s values of relationships, family, pride and success guide how we do business and help us ensure we are providing our franchise partners with the best possible tailored support and our customers with the best, freshest most convenient and nutritious food.”

Soul Origin is revolutionising the way people are thinking about fast food. By making nutritious fresh food delicious, convenient and accessible, the company is helping customers to eat mindfully everyday.

Since opening its first store in 2011, Soul Origin has experienced exponential growth.

“The Soul Origin brand has had incredible growth to date and the pathway forward looks extremely positive. We have a very hardworking and dedicated group of franchise partners that are passionate about the Soul Origin brand and this is displayed in the results,” says Soul Origin General Manager (Former Boost Juice GM) Adam Neill.

“In the past year alone we have opened 30 new stores, expanding from NSW into the ACT, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia. We now have 80 stores across Australia, having doubled our store footprint in FY17 and there’s no sign of this growth slowing down. But this is just the beginning for the Soul Origin brand.”

“At Soul Origin we know we have a system that can succeed anywhere in the world. Without our talented and hardworking staff and franchise partners, however, this would not have been possible. The team at our support centre are second to none and continually go above and beyond to nurture and grow the Soul Origin brand. Our franchise partners love Soul Origin as much as we do and their ongoing hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence does us proud everyday,” adds Soul Origin General Manager Adam Neill.

Soul Origin began franchising in 2014 and currently has just five stores that are company operated with the majority of the network run by franchise partners.

CEO Chris Mavris highlighted the importance of franchising at the recent Franchise Council of Australia Conference.

“Franchising is the most dynamic and creative business model in Australia. Making up 10% of the Australian economy, it’s such an important part of our country. At Soul Origin, we are committed to supporting our franchise partners and doing the franchise sector proud by investing in systems, training and support to ensure our franchise partners succeed now and in the future.”

Soul Origin franchise partner Kane Chen says as a franchisee of Soul Origin he has the freedom of being a small business owner but is backed with tools and support of a much larger business, a business that cares.

“As a franchise partner of Soul Origin, I have the freedom of running my own business but I also benefit from the incredible backing and ongoing support of a fast-growing company like Soul Origin. The training and tools provided to me have been integral to the success of my business. It’s great to be working with such an energised and supportive team that has such important values and a commitment to delivering the best.”

Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children.
