PECTEC Achieves Milestone of ISO 9001:2015 Certification

Press Release updated: Nov 1, 2017 05:00 EDT

DEKRA Certification, Inc. today announced that it has certified PECTEC Corporation’s management system to ISO 9001:20015 at its Spartanburg, SC location. PECTEC manufactures metal products for thermo and acoustics applications. The company name comes from their core competencies of perforation, embossing, and cutting of metal products for the automotive industry.

“We want to congratulate PECTEC on their certification,” stated Chris Carson, Senior Director of Strategic Business Development for DEKRA Certification. “PECTEC has made incredible strides since their founding three years ago, and they made a clear decision to prioritize quality in their operations.”

The ISO 9001:2015 standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the role of top management, the process approach, and continual improvement. The standard provides guidance and tools for companies and organizations that want to ensure that their products and services consistently meet customers’ requirements, and that quality is continually improved.

Reliability and quality are two of our key selling points, so having a certification body like DEKRA come in to certify our quality management system was important for us.

Joerg Wilmink, Chief Operating Officer

“We are a young, innovative company, and we explicitly set a goal of becoming ISO 9001 certified this year,” explains Joerg Wilmink, Chief Operating Officer of PECTEC. “Reliability and quality are two of our key selling points, so having a certification body like DEKRA come in to certify our quality management system was important for us. We are working on getting stronger as a team every day, and going through the audit process with DEKRA helped us enormously.”
