DONATIONS EN ROUTE TO TEXASCONCORD, CALIFORNIA – 09-01-2017 (Press Release Jet) — Innersense Organic Beauty, a leader in the clean cosmetics movement, is donating two lines of its beloved organic shampoos and conditioners to disaster relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey. Two pallets of product with a retail value of $60,000 are en route to a distribution center in Celebrations, Texas; Austin Disaster Relief Network, a non-profit which works directly with the Red Cross, is coordinating the delivery.

“My wife Joanne and I knew we had to help families displaced by Harvey,” says Greg Starkman, Innersense Organic Beauty cofounder. “Without hesitation we contacted the Red Cross and informed them we were donating our excess Pure Harmony and Color Awakening Hairbath and Pure Inspiration and Color Radiance Conditioner in our former packaging. They were in shock to hear two pallets of haircare were on the way.”

A darling in the green beauty space, Innersense Organic Beauty has deep roots in Texas; a number of salons and stylists carry the line there and the brand enjoys cult status in high humidity regions like Texas and the South. The quartet of holistic-minded shampoos and conditioners en route to Texas are sustainably sourced, wild-harvested, biodynamic, and bursting with Certified Organic ingredients, as well as sulfate, paraben, GMO and silicone free. All four products rate “0” on the Think Dirty app.

About the Author: Carrie Brunner

Carrie Brunner grew up in a small town in northern New Brunswick. She studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married her husband one month later. They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children. Carrie writes mostly on provincial stories.
