BOLDR Supply Co. Goes Further Afield With the BOLDR Expedition Field Watch

Press Release updated: Nov 1, 2017 22:36 SGT

The BOLDR Supply Company has just launched their Kickstarter campaign for their latest wrist wear, the BOLDR Expedition Field Watch. A tried, tested and tough tactical timepiece, the Expedition features an automatic Swiss movement, a multi-function rotating inner bezel, dual screw-down crowns, with a sapphire glass lens and see-through caseback.

The BOLDR Expedition automatic field watch was built to be a tough companion for your next adventure. With a military-inspired design, the Expedition has some of the key features that made the field watch a tactical timepiece in World War II — such as a high-contrast dial design, superluminova 3D lume markers and numerals for legibility in any condition.

Sturdy on the outside and sleek on the inside, the BOLDR Expedition comes in a 316L stainless steel machined case rated up to 20ATM, and is powered by an automatic Swiss Sellita SW200-1 movement, featuring a hacking seconds hand, supported by diashock to keep it ticking no matter what the mission.

The Expedition is also the first BOLDR to feature dual screw-down crowns. The first adjusts the time/date; the second, which features a bright orange rim for quick differentiation, controls a rotating brass inner dial ring bezel with printed markings and indexes. The multi-function inner bezel is used to mark countdowns, time elapsed, a second time zone or for use as a compass.

As a field watch, the Expedition is rugged right off the bat, with a high-contrast display that allows quick time-telling at a glance — thanks to the matte dial with printed logo and subtitles and inner minute track. If night time excursions are your thing, the Expedition has you covered with swiss superluminova hour markers in two-tone lume colours for high legibility in low light.

The Expedition is stealthily stylish, great for adding an element of toughness to those formal occasions. It’s available in 6 striking colours, each named after the world’s most challenging mountains, and comes with a canvas strap, calf leather lining, and reinforced brass eyelets for the military look. The lens on the Expedition is our iconic BOLDR double domed lens in sapphire crystal, with AR coating on the underside. The caseback is also sapphire with our signature caseback artwork laser etched on — allowing you a look into the inner mechanisms of the watch, as well as putting an interactive piece of art on your wrist.

The Expedition is the next in line of a series of strong, sturdy adventure watches from BOLDR. Designed with modern-day adventurers and urban tactical wear in mind, it stands out in terms of style and strength — ready for anything you can throw at it. It’s made to suit your wrist, from your excursions in the field to your activities across the city.

About the Author: Carrie Brunner

Carrie Brunner grew up in a small town in northern New Brunswick. She studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married her husband one month later. They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children. Carrie writes mostly on provincial stories.
